On April 14, 2016, BRICS Friendship Cities Conference was inaugurated in Bombay of India. More than 75 representatives from BRICS countries attended the opening ceremony. Chinese delegation consists of Chinese People’s Association For Friendship With Foreign Countries, Qingdao city government and Shanghai city government. Qingdao city is one of the founders of the cooperation mechanism of BRICS cities.

BRICS Friendship Cities Conference, lasting three days, will discuss the challenges in the  process of urbanization.
